National Organic Food Awards 2018 – winners announced

The National Organic Food Awards took place on October 10th at Bord Bia headquarters in Dublin. The Irish Organic Association would like to congratulate all who where shortlisted and won awards on the day. It showed the innovation and dynamic food companies working in the organic sector in Ireland.

Award winners for 2018 were;

Chef’s Choice Award: Riversfield Farm for their Organic Cherry Tomato Mix.

Retail Award: Irish Country Meats from Co. Wexford for their Goodherdsmen Organic Half leg of Lamb.

Direct Selling Award: Highbank Orchards won this award for their Sack No. 3 Pommeau.

Export Award: This award went to The Little Milk Company and Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers for their delicious Organic Cashel Blue Cheese.

New and Innovative Award: Beechlawn Organic Farm won this award for their Curly Kale in a Compostable Bio Bag.

Business in the Community Award: Sli Eile Housing Community in Cork took home this award for their Organic Farm Vegetables.

Overall winners were Irish Country Meats for their Good Herdsmen Organic Half Leg of Lamb.
