Danes impressed by Mossfield Cheese

On the final day of their 3 day visit the Danish group visited Mossfield farm based in Clareen in Co Offaly. There they were greeted by Ralph Haslam and his son Johnathan. They had a tour of the impressive cheese plant and despite the rain had a good look around the farm. The milking shed was of particular interest to the group as many of them are organic dairy farmers.

They were very impressed by the range of activity on the farm and in particular the on farm processing. Ralph makes a wide range of gouda cheeses, yoghurt, cream and milk. Welcome samples of the cheese were distributed to all. Concluding their visit the group were impressed with the diverse range of farms that they saw during their short stay in Ireland.
