National Organic Week 2013

It has been announced that there will be no formal National Organic Week for 2013. Also there will not be any National Organic Food Awards for 2013. In the wake of previous campaigns Bord Bia conducted research which showed that hosting a National Organic Week did not have a major impact on sales of organic produce so therefore it was decided that this year there would not be an organic week.

Every year as part of National Organic Week, certified organic members held events locally to promote their produce. For 2013 there is still some funding available from the Organic Unit of the Department for individuals who wish to host events. Please contact them directly for more details on tel 053 9163400.
