Organic market gardening course 2015

Aim of the course

This course will equip participants with the knowledge and work methods of how to set up, cultivate and finance a plot, polytunnel, or field for supplying a farmer’s market, restaurant or a box scheme with vegetables and herbs throughout the year. The course follows the growing season.

Venue

Bridgetown, Killaloe, Co Clare

Dates for 2015

The course takes place on Wednesdays for 17 days: February – September from 10am to 4.30pm.

  • February 11th & the 25th,
  • March 11th & the 25th,
  • April 8th& the 22nd,
  • May 6th & the20th,
  • June 3rd & the 17th,
  • July 1st ,15th & the29th,
  • August 12th & the 26th
  • September 9th & the30th

Cost

The fee for this course is €1,030. A grant is available from NOTS (National Organic Training Skillnet) for those resident in Ireland. To avail of the funding you must become a member of NOTS ( membership is free).  NOTS reduced rate is €775.00.  Please note that the Free unemployed places have been fully booked, if you are unemployed you can contact your local social welfare office to see if funding is available – If funding is available this must be paid directly to Jim for the full amount and not to NOTS.   If you are availing of the grant from NOTS no other source of grant funding is permitted. For more information on funding please call 0719640688 or email info@nots.ie  Please make cheques, postal orders or bank drafts payable to ‘N.O.T.S.’ and send it along with your membership form to: The National Organic Training Skillnet, The Enterprise Centre, Hill Road, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
